Painting

With a steady hand and a patient eye, I translate carved temples, Buddha forms, and personal fragments, antiques into delicate brushwork. My painting practice focuses on fine detail, subtle contrast, and layered texture — echoing centuries of tradition while tracing the quiet motion of impermanence. Every mark is deliberate, capturing time before it escapes us.

Photography

Through photography, I collect moments of quiet beauty — coloured Buddha statues, intricate wood carvings, ancient temple murals, and the divine animals that embody timeless spirituality. The old houses of Jingdezhen and forgotten treasures in antique markets draw me in, each carrying stories of the past. My photographs aim to preserve these details and textures, capturing fragments of history and memory before they fade.

Natural Dye

Natural dye is one of my primary mediums for colour — not only for its sustainability, but for its softness and unpredictability. Its fluid nature echoes my intention to capture fleeting moments of beauty. I paint directly onto fabric with plant-based extracts, allowing colours to blend, bleed, and settle in their own time. This process mirrors the quiet transitions in my photography, translating atmosphere into hue and flow.

Beading

Beading slows time. With each stitch, I hold a moment—not to keep it, but to let it pass through. Inspired by traditional ornamentation and the worn beauty of everyday objects, I arrange tiny fragments into flowing forms that shimmer and shift. In this process, nothing is fixed. Each piece is part of a continuous thread, linking past and present, hand and story, stillness and motion.
